Laser cutting and laser marking

Using our fibre laser, we produce individual metal parts and small series quickly and flexibly. Our particular strength lies in low-volume production and precision foils – applications for which setting up a large laser cutting system would often not be economical.

One of our specialities is compensation and regrinding shims for toolmaking. We keep many of the required precision foils in stock, allowing us to respond very quickly to urgent orders.

  • Individual parts and small series
  • Precision foils from 0.1 mm
  • Compensation and regrinding shims
  • Steel, stainless steel, spring steel and non-ferrous metals
  • Laser marking of metal parts
  • In-house CAD data preparation

Compensation and Regrinding Shims
Precision foils in a wide range of thicknesses are available from stock. For urgent orders, depending on the design, shims can be manufactured and dispatched within just a few hours.

Laser Cutting for Individual Parts and Small Series

Our laser cutter is particularly well suited to small production runs and technical functional parts. We process steel up to approximately 8 mm, stainless steel and spring steel up to approximately 3 mm, as well as copper, brass and thin aluminium sheet.

Depending on the material and sheet thickness, tolerances of up to approximately ±0.05 mm are possible.

Especially for thin sheet metal and small batch sizes, we can manufacture flexibly without the order having to be economical on a large-format sheet laser cutting system.

Compensation and Regrinding Shims

When punches or dies are reground, tool height is reduced. A suitably laser-cut shim can compensate for this material removal, helping to maintain the existing tool setup as closely as possible.

For this application, we keep a wide range of materials in stock:

  • Precision foil 1.4310 from 0.1 to 1.0 mm
  • 1.4034 / Ck75 in 1.2 / 1.5 / 1.8 / 2.0 / 2.5 and 3.0 mm

The shims are manufactured individually according to customer data. There are no minimum quantities or standard sizes.

If the required material is in stock, urgent shims can, depending on the design, be manufactured and dispatched within just a few hours.

From Drawing to Finished Part

The most economical option is to manufacture the part based on finished DXF data. However, we also work with STEP files, technical drawings and sketches, and can prepare the required contours for production in-house if necessary.

Thanks to the direct link with our toolmaking department, we can assess components from a design perspective, suggest modifications and implement them directly.

If required, we can also carry out additional processing steps such as deburring, grinding or EDM and supply the finished functional part.

Laser Marking

With our 50 W fibre laser, we mark individual metal parts and small series. Typical applications include functional markings on tooling and machine components, material specifications, nameplates, as well as logos and graphics.
